Get Lit – Words Ignite brings classic poetry to the streets and street poetry into the classrooms. By engaging youth in great works of literature, in-school and beyond, teens engage in their own futures and unearth their potential.
Even today, 1 in 4 children in America grow up illiterate. With California ranking 46 of 50 in teen literacy, Get Lit’s powerful program reaches over 50,000 youth each year and over 100 million people online!
To support their mission of grooming a future class of storytellers, my role was to generate valuable strategic partnerships that could help the program grow and expand it’s impact.
